Heavy Duty Motorcycles was started by Owen Parkinson and Simon Yates.

Owen had been selling Harley's in Victoria at Geelong Harley-Davidson and Peter Stevens before moving to QLD, Simon had just shifted back to Australia from the Philippines where he was based delivering Super Yachts all over the world.

The duo met at one of Queenslands biggest mariners when they were both selling luxurious motor yachts. It wasn't long before they realised they shared an interest in Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and were looking for a new challenge. They started their new business selling Harley-Davidson from their garage and sold $1000000 worth of Harleys in the first 12 months. It became apparent that they needed to move into bigger premises and Heavy Duty Motor Cycles was born, moving into their 100 square metre premises in Springwood, Queensland.

After a year at their old location in springwood the business sold over 200 motorcyles and they saw the need for a workshop and a larger showroom hence the move down the road at their current location at 3409 Pacific Motorway, Springwood.

Heavy-Duty Motorcycles primarliy deals in late model pre loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles. They also sell genuine and after market parts and accessories, clothing and merchandise. They provide servicing of late model Harley-Davisdon's from their new work shop which also caters for performance and custom work.
